Harry's Old Kettle Pub and Grill to sponsor Heads Up Harley Event
Legendary eatery, Harry’s Old Kettle Pub and Grill, a local landmark to the folks in Wabash, Indiana is teaming up with Bunker Hill Dragstrip, Indiana’s first dragstrip, as presenting sponsor of the Heads Up Harley event coming to the Bunker Hill Dragstrip on Saturday, May 13th.
Harry Kilmer along with his wife Judy, are the owners of Harry’s Old Kettle Pub and Grill. Harry, who grew up riding dirt bikes, became a Harley Davidson owner about 6 years ago. A group of riders who frequented his restaurant were talking about a trip they were going on. Judy suggested that Harry join them. A week later he purchased his first Harley, which he has already upgraded. Harry’s love for Harleys and his appreciation for riders, is what inspired him to team up with Bunker Hill to sponsor the Heads Up Harley race.
“I am really excited that Harry’s Old Kettle Pub and Grill will be a part of the Heads Up Harley race at Bunker Hill,” explains Harry Kilmer. “ We plan to start our day at Brandt's Harley Davidson for the Blessing of the Bikes event, and ride over to the track to enjoy a day at the races.”
Blessing of the Bikes is a yearly event that takes place at Brandt's Harley Davidson. It will begin at 10:00am with breakfast and end with Blessing of the Bikes at 1:00pm. After that, there is an optional ride to Bunker Hill Dragstrip for all who attend.
“We are fortunate to have Harry and Judy Kilmer from Harry’s Old Kettle Pub and Grill partner with us for what will be the first Harley race that the track has had in a long time. We will also be running our regular Summit Super Series bracket program that day, so there will be racing for everyone,” says track owner Terry McMillen. “We look forward to having a great crowd and invite the folks that ride over from the Blessing of the Bikes to enter the races too.”
The Heads Up Harley event presented by Harry’s Old Kettle Pub and Grill will feature an outlaw and street class. See the event flyer for more details or contact Keith Evans at keithevans1979@yahoo.com with questions regarding rules and regulations. All Harley riders entering the race are welcome to also enter Bunker Hill’s Summit Super Series bracket classes.
